RE: Thinking of subscribing to camping life mag-Thoughts?

We use to get "Trailer Life" if that is what you are refering to.
It was fun for awhile.
It started getting thinner and thinner...mostly ads.
All the "product tests" were biased by the fact that the products tested were often sponsered by the mags advertisers.
I did look forward to getting the issues each month and then realized that I was reading it cover to cover in about 1/2 hour.
We dropped it.
This Forum is more informative and more interesting.

RE: Drop down clothes bar

Coleman site shows them as available...scroll down about half way and click on "wardrobe hanger"

Hope this helps.

RE: Towing Question

Good Advice from DavidG above.
While doing your figuring, keep in mind that the 7500 lb. tow rating is based on an empty Yukon with just one 150 lb. passenger.

RE: Vista vs; XP

A lot of bantering back and forth here...I agree with ArcticDodge and it was what I asked in my first post...
"How much RAM are you running?"
He answered that he is running 1 gig of RAM..
I think VISTA is not the problem in this case.

RE: Vista vs; XP

I sympathize with your frustration...
A couple of questions:
How much RAM on these computers?
Are you running a good Spyware program and updating and sweeping regularly?

RE: rv wholesalers

Show the RV Wholesalers price to your local dealer...they may be willing to match it or get close enough to make it worth your while to stay in town.
We played 5 different dealers against one another when we bought our last rig. It took some work, but it was well worth it.

RE: Removing Vista

Most all of the problems people had with Vista came when trying to load Vista on an older machine that already was running on XP.
Start fresh on a NEW machine with enough memory and Vista will work great.

RE: How to store when it is not winterized?

"whole enchaladas" are good...freezing pipes and tanks are not good.
Running an electric heater 24/7 will be expensive.
I'd winterize if you live where it freezes...you will sleep better.

RE: w/h bypass

It is very possible that you don't have a bypass set up.
If you don't, they are easy to install. Any RV parts department or Camping World will have the kit.

RE: Reese trunion bar lube question

Reece actually sells two different hitch lubes.
This one will allow you to "squirt" a few drops through the holes in the hitch head to lube the trunion bars.
I don't bother. If I have already lubed the bar heads and then stay hooked up for the night I don't re-lube.

One of these has worked great for us.
Very sturdy, legs fold in for storage, non slip.

RE: tool kits for full time RVing

Start with something like this...from Amazon.com @ $59.00
Certainly not SnapOn quality but easy to orgainize, easy to store and will get the job done for all but the most involved fixes.
